Ju Kim

Our Story
As a Principal at Hyper Building Workshop, Ju has more than 15 years of professional working experience in architecture and interior design. She received her master's degree in architecture from Columbia University in New York.
Ju worked at Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates in New York as associate principal before she started Hyper Building Workshop. She was one of the leading designer of Hudson Yards project known as the most expensive real-estate development in US history. She was the project team leader of Asian game's official village in Hangzhou in China. The project is a large complex for Asian games housing 30 story office tower, 32 story hotel, and 6 story retail podium in the site.
Before Ju joined KPF, she was the project architect at Ismael Levya Architects in NY where she developed architectural skill sets to different building types and venues both evolving and challenging. One of the notable project is the Hudson Yards Tower D which is 80 story high rise luxury condominium and Ju worked from schematic design through construction documentation. Ju is highly skilled architect specialized in high-end residential buildings including hotel, condominium, rental apartment, and single house with modern and contemporary design ideas.
Overall, she has successfully managed divers design build projects from concept design, construction administration, project management. From the professional experience in New York and New Jersey, she strongly believes that her great professionalism will be beneficial to the successful clients and to the diverse community as she is the one of exceptional and leading designer.
After being passionately committing, practically and academically in architecture, Ju has a thorough understanding of multiple aspects of the making of building. Ju and her design and build team focus on great relationship with clients, trustworthy and successful long term partnerships in the practice and services the firm to offer.
