As a distinguished architect and the driving force behind HYPER Building Workshop, Ju stands at the forefront of HYPER Building Workshop’s commitment to impactful design.
Ju's journey began with the pursuit of knowledge, culminating in a Master's degree in Architectural Design from Columbia University in New York. With a focus on high-rise residential buildings in Manhattan, she honed her skills during a 15-year tenure at Kohn Pederson Fox Associates (KPF) and Ismael Leyva Architects before embarking on an entrepreneurial venture to establish HYPER Building Workshop.
Impressively, she also earned a Master's degree in Architecture from Kookmin University in South Korea, showcasing her allegiance to a multidimensional understanding of architecture. Ju's reflective attitude towards architecture and design revolves around the profound impact of space on human behavior. Her creations are known to blend aesthetic and practical perspectives, finding meaningful applications in various architectural contexts.
As a seasoned professional, Ju specializes in architectural concepts, forms, planning, interior design, and material selection. Her expertise extends to finding technical architectural solutions and meticulously working out the finer details, making her a complete package in the realm of design and construction. Moreover, she has the unique ability to effectively connect owners, architects, and general contractors, serving as an invaluable intermediary during the construction process.
Ju approaches each project with seriousness and concentration, paying careful attention to even the smallest of details and ensuring their beautiful execution. She firmly believes that, regardless of the design's quality, achieving great buildings requires proper construction methods.
Outside of work, Ju finds joy in practicing her photography or relaxing with a good book. She also frequently immerses herself in the kitchen, as she finds cooking highly fulfilling. Inspired by architectural geniuses such as Louis Kahn and Renzo Piano, Ju's journey is a testament to her dedication to the craft. This commitment is reflected in her diverse and impressive portfolio, which spans projects ranging from small-scale interior design to large-scale architecture.
